How to check whether you are being paid via check or direct deposit

If you’re a Scoot substitute teacher, paydays are every Friday. If you’re a TeachStart fellow, your paydays are every other Friday. That being said you may receive an email from ADP stating that your pay was processed before the Friday payday.

Just because you received a pay statement notification email does not mean that the pay has already been deposited into your account. You will be paid on the Friday of the week that you received that email.

You are able to check if you have been paid by accessing your pay statement in ADP. You can do so by following these steps:

  1. Go to ADP Workforce Now and log in with your username and password if you haven't created an account with ADP, look for our help article called 'How do I create an account with ADP?' .

  2. Once logged in, use the top menu to go to Myself>Pay>Pay Statements.

  3. On the left side of the page, select which year you're looking for (under My Pay).

  4. Once you've selected the year, look for the pay stub(s) that you want to download and select the check box to the left of the pay stub details (note that you can select more than one pay stub if you want to).

  5. Press the button at the bottom of the screen that says DOWNLOAD.

  6. Your selected pay stub(s) will begin downloading to your computer.

  7. You will see a line item that states “Net Pay”.

  8. Under the “Net Pay” line, it will say “Net Check”.

    1. If the “Net Check” number is “0” you have been paid via Direct Deposit.

    2. If the “Net Check” number is more than “0” you have been paid via check, mailed to your address on file with ADP.

For direct deposit, you are able to confirm the bank account that is set up to receive payment by following these steps:

  1. Go to ADP Workforce Now and login with your username and password.

  2. Go to the menu at the top of your screen and select Myself>Pay>Payment options

  3. You will then see an icon that displays your account information.

  4. To fully view the information select the icon on the left of the screen.

For paper checks, you are able to confirm the address the check is being sent to by following these steps:

  1. Go to ADP Workforce Now and login with your username and password.

  2. Go to the menu at the top of your screen and select Myself>My information>Profile

  3. The address listed as your primary address is the address the check is being sent to.

  4. If this address is incorrect please update to the correct address and contact [email protected] about the pay.

  5. Paper checks will not be reissued until 7 business days after the Friday payday.
