In D.C. you will be asked to complete three total background checks: a local background check, a federal (FBI) background check, and the Child Protection Registry (CPR) background check.

For your local background check you will submit your information via the Fountain platform, where you are completing your onboarding! You will likely receive an email from Checkr to note the completion of your check.

*Please note that the Checkr background check is NOT what you will submit for your FBI background check. For FBI background check information, see below.

For your federal background check you will follow the instructions below:

Scoot will reimburse you for your FBI fingerprint check in your first paycheck.

Please follow the instructions below and then revisit the Fountain platform to upload results:

  1. Register for an account or login with an existing account

  2. If required, enter the contact details to complete your account

Tips for completing the questionnaire. Select the below responses:

  1. Request Reason: For Review and Correction Purposes

  2. Personal: Complete details as required

  3. Demographics: Complete detailed as required

  4. Location: Choose a convenient fingerprinting location

  5. Appointment: Schedule a time to be fingerprinted

  6. Confirmation: Confirm your appointment details and press "I Agree" on the Terms and Conditions or make corrections

  7. Payment: Enter credit card or PayPal details for payment. Scoot reimburses up to $47 in your first paycheck after your virtual training shift has been completed and you are Ready2Book.

  8. Print Live Scan Request Form: You will receive a form to take with you to the fingerprinting appointment

  9. Receipt: Download a copy of you receipt to upload to your Fountain onboarding portal.

For your CPR background check you will follow the instructions below:

How to pass your CPR check

Before you start your application. We recommend to:

  • Use a computer and the Google Chrome browser. It works better than Edge, Firefox, Safari, etc.

  • Complete and submit this application in one sitting. There is no save and return function.

Follow these steps:

  1. Go to the form.

  2. Click the "Create New Application" button at the bottom left of your screen.

  3. In order to ensure accuracy, fill out the “Reason for CPR Check” and "Requestor Information" exactly as you see in the screenshot below. If this section is not filled accurately, we will not receive your results.

  1. Upload a PDF, JPEG, or other version of your valid/unexpired ID with the application directly and then click “Submit” (see screenshot below).

  2. Lastly, please take a screenshot of your CPR confirmation and upload the screenshot to your portal on Fountain as requested.

⚠️ Double check the information before you submit to avoid significant delays in clearance.

The Scoot Team is not able to ensure accuracy of your submission ahead of time because the CFSA office handles this process.

If the CFSA finds incorrect information on your application, you will have to resubmit your application with the correct information, which can cause a substantial delay in your onboarding process.
