  2. You’ll then be redirected to Fountain, our applicant screening software, where you’ll complete the initial questionnaire to start the hiring process.

  3. Upload your resume. No worries if you don’t have one. You can indicate that you don’t have a resume and you’ll be redirected to another section that asks basic questions about your professional background.

  4. Hit submit and you’ve now finished the first part of the application! If your application is accepted, you’ll be contacted within 2-5 business days for a phone screening.

Phone screening

If your application is accepted, you’ll be invited to schedule a quick phone call.

This is NOT an interview. The purpose of this phone call is to get to know you better as we go over your submitted application.

If you’re approved to move forward, you’ll be contacted again to schedule a formal interview.

Before the interview

You’re required to answer questions about your Louisiana teaching certification before you’re ready to interview.

You can look up your teaching certification information on the Louisiana Department of Education website; Teach Louisiana.

If you hold more than two valid certifications, please let your Scoot consultant know during your interview.

After the interview

If you had a stellar interview, your consultant will email you to complete the next steps of the hiring process.

You’ll be asked to upload/submit the following:

  1. Identification documents

  2. Three references including at least one supervisor

    • We contact these references via email or text to review your previous work experience.

  3. Academic transcripts

  4. Receipt of your fingerprints by the New Orleans Sheriff’s Office

    • When you get to this stage, you’ll be given fingerprinting directions to help you through this process

    • We fully reimburse for your fingerprinting, which is added to your first paycheck the week after your first teaching assignment.

  5. Payroll information

    • This is so you can start getting paid right away!

Offer letter

If everything goes smoothly, we’ll send you an official offer letter! Woohoo!

We perform a final check, then your consultant will email you with instructions on how to download our Scoot2Work app and receive school assignments.
