Processing time varies from state to state and can be inconsistent. In most locations, results are returned to Scoot within 48 hours. In Nevada, results may take weeks to be returned to Scoot. In order to prevent delays, ensure you are using the Scoot specific process for your location. If you are not sure what that process is, reach out to your consultant for next steps!

Delays can be due to an error in fingerprint capture, a mistake made by the live scan operator, or the existence of any criminal background on the record. Please reach out to your dedicated Scoot consultant if a delay occurs. Unfortunately, we are unable to speed up this process.
In California you can check the status of your own Live Scan by following these instructions:
Enter the 10 character Automated Transaction Identifier (ATI) number that is located at the bottom of the Live Scan Applicant Request form
Enter your date of birth
If the results say: "Completed" for both CA and FBI and it has been over three business day since the completion date, then contact your Scoot consultant
If the results say: "In Progress" for either CA or FBI then wait three business days and check again - if the results have been "In Progress" for more than five business days, contact your Scoot consultant
If the ATI is not found or if only results are displayed for one of CA or FBI then there is likely an issue with how your live scan was submitted and you should contact the location where you had your live scan performed
