How can I check the status of my Live Scan results?

In California you can check the status of your own Live Scan by following these instructions:

  1. Go to https://applicantstatus.doj.ca.gov/

  2. Enter the 10 character Automated Transaction Identifier (ATI) number that is located at the bottom of the Live Scan Applicant Request form

  3. Enter your date of birth

  4. Click submit:

  • If the results say: "Completed" for both CA and FBI and it has been over three business day since the completion date, then contact your Scoot consultant

  • If the results say: "In Progress" for either CA or FBI then wait three business days and check again - if the results have been "In Progress" for more than five business days, contact your Scoot consultant

  • If the ATI is not found or if only results are displayed for one of CA or FBI then there is likely an issue with how your live scan was submitted and you should contact the location where you had your live scan performed
